Group exhibition Huna Al Emarat 2005 - 2015 to open in February CBRE presents exhibition to showcase UAE’s development during the past decade Dubai, 20 January 2015 - Huna Al Emarat: 2005 – 2015, a group exhibition taking place at DUCTAC’s Gallery of Light, will open from 10th – 16th February 2015 and is set to feature works across a range of media including painting, photography, sculpture and video by a diverse collection of artists, art collectives and designers. The exhibition will take the form of a collective memoir reflecting the past decade in the UAE and the evolution of the country during this period, and is presented by CBRE to coincide with the firm’s 10th anniversary in the Middle East.The artists taking part in the exhibition include Khalil Abdulwahid, Ammar Al Attar, Mattar bin Lahej, Camille Mallat, photography collective MOBIPIXUAE and Nour Sokhon. Alongside their artwork the exhibition will also showcase design works by Caravan and present publications including Brusselssprout and WTD. 

The Maraya Art Centre will be hosting MOBIPIXUAE’s fundraising roadshow which is part of a series of #mobile photography exhibitions across the UAE; the road-­‐show aims at raising funds for 100CAMERAS. 100CAMERAS is a registered NGO based in New York, USA since 2009. 100CAMERAS empowers kids to create tangible change in their communities by teaching them to capture their lives through photography. They then sell their photographs and give 100% of purchases back to the community allowing kids to participate in the 100CAMERAS program and to fund local lifeline, education, and healthcare needs.

Eight of MOBIPIXUAE members are exhibiting their work along some of the amazing work of 100CAMERAS young photographers from South Sudan, Cuba & India. All prints are up for sale at affordable prices, with all proceeds going to 100 Cameras. These proceeds will inturn be given to the family of the young photographer. There will be a documentary screening at the opening evening and the founder of Mobixpix UAE, Reem Saeed will be presenting the vision behind Mobipix UAE x 100 Cameras.
